I’ve been trying to incorporate Morse Code into my art for quite a while, it has a strong connection to my very proud days as a reserve soldier. When I create a lot of my Portraits they start out as black and white stencils. Sometimes the stencils are created from a “traditional” photograph and sometimes from a generative image.
I treat a generative image exactly the same as any other stock image I purchase to help create the story I want to tell. For me, the benefits of generative portraits is the speed at which I can fine the look that I want to portray, and then the amount of flexibility I have; its like being able to direct a model sitting in front of me to look one way then another, this has opened a creative path that I would otherwise not be able to afford.
